Aspect Ecology finalists attend Industry Awards ceremony.
We were honoured to attend the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management’s (CIEEM) Awards event 2017.
Two of our Ecologists (Rachel Bamford and Rachael Maddison) had been short listed for the award of Promising Professional of the Year while one of our Graduates (Anna Spence) had been short listed for best Student Project. It was a splendid occasion held at Draper Hall in the City of London with a key note speech by Baroness Young followed by a grand luncheon.
The judges commented that it was very difficult to select a winner for the Promising Professional Award as both our Ecologists applications were outstanding. However, the judges declared that there could be only one winner and this went to Rachel Bamford while the judges highly commended Rachael Maddison’s application. Our warm congratulations to both.
Anna was selected for a short list of only two projects which made the grade set by the exacting requirements of the judges. In the end Anna was just pipped at the post but again her project was highly commended by the judges and we warmly congratulate Anna on this tremendous achievement.
We are very proud of Rachel, Rachael and Anna achievements’ while the fact that three finalists at the event were from Aspect Ecology did not elude the judge’s attention with this being specifically commented on. Our finalists have certainly set the bar for next year!
