Aspect Ecology has been advising on a large scale brownfield re-development site in Hampshire for 1500 residential units along with associated infrastructure and open space.

The site is located in close proximity to the Thames Basins Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA) and Aspect Ecology’s input has been key to the project in advising the developer on the delivery of appropriate mitigation to avoid potential effects on this designation as well as other nature conservation designations in the locality. In this regard the application is accompanied by a dedicated large scale SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace) which lies adjacent to the site and provides ready access to a new highly attractive recreational resource.
