Aspect Ecology’s senior team carries particular expertise on advising on issues where ecological designations such as Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), Special Areas of Protection (SPAs), Ramsars, Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), County Wildlife Sites (CWSs) / Local Wildlife Sites (LWSs) or listed Ancient Woodland or Priority Habitat Types are potentially affected.

A mainstay of our work is the assessment of Biodiversity Net Gain and assimilating information to inform Habitat Regulation Assessments (HRAs) and Appropriate Assessments (AAs). We regularly carry out work as Expert Witnesses and appear at planning appeals or hearings and we are well known at the planning bar.
