Merry Christmas 2022 to all our clients and colleagues – see our round up of year here
December 2022
Our warmest Seasons Greetings to all our clients and colleagues. We are looking forward to Christmas for a well earned break and celebration. 2022 has been another busy year and we have been delighted to once again be working together in an unrestricted way in our offices (unlike the last 2 Covid affected years). Looking at our records, in 2022:
- 151 Dormouse surveys were completed, deploying 2549 Dormouse survey tubes
- 481 reptile surveys were completed, deploying 8855 artificial refugia
- 352 bat surveys were completed, of which 198 were activity surveys and 154 were emergence/re-entry roost surveys. We deployed static bat detectors 592 times, hand-held detectors 977 times and infra-red cameras 133 times.
- 103 Great Crested Newt surveys were completed during which some 3617 bottle traps were deployed
Our thanks goes to all our clients who kindly commissioned us to carry out this work and subsequently supported us on the ground during the surveys.
Instead of sending Christmas cards, this year we have made donations to our chosen charities: Shelter, Salvation Army Christmas Appeal and the Banbury Foodbank.
We look forward to working with you in 2023.
Merry Christmas from all at Aspect Ecology.
